The Altek 820 was designed back in 1997. The PIE 820 matches the Altek in fit, form and function with a few features bringing the design into the 21st century. It has a rubber boot and lower profile switches for protection in the field and a backlit display making it easier to use in the dark corners of your plant. The PIE 820 is also guaranteed to be compatible with all RTD measuring instruments including multichannel PLC input cards. It also has 14 different thermocouple types built-in making it more universal than the 4 thermocouple types in the Altek 820.
