Altek 334 Milliamp calibrator – no longer in production!
The Altek 334 was designed back in 1988 and the updated Altek 334A in 1998. The PIE 334 matches the Altek in fit, form and function with a few features bringing the design into the 21st century. It has a rubber boot and lower profile switches for protection in the field and a backlit display making it easier to use in the dark corners of your plant. Instead of the three expensive 9V batteries in the Altek the PIE uses four less expensive common “AA” batteries. The PIE has the same resolution and accuracy as the Altek with longer battery life letting you calibrate more instruments between battery changes.
Altek 334 & 334A
Looking for more than just an Altek 334 replacement? The PIE 334Plus does everything the Altek 334 or PIE 334 can do with higher resolution and simple to use loop troubleshooting features. Calibrate smart transmitters with the built-in 250 Ohm resistor for HART® compatibility, high resolution to 0.001 milliamp and the the ability to check loop power supplies or batteries with built-in DC Voltage measurement range. Save time troubleshooting loops by using the Advanced Loop Diagnostics to find hidden loop problems caused by moisture and corrosion in junction boxes. This feature is only found in PIE Calibrators!
Why choose a PIE 334 or 334Plus instead of some other brand of milliamp calibrator? We are the same team that designed the Altek 334 and the Altek 334A and no other manufacturer has as much milliamp calibrator experience as PIE. PIE also manufactures a complete line of milliamp, voltage, thermocouple, RTD and frequency single function calibrators as well as multifunction calibrators matching and surpassing the Altek line of handheld calibrators.
